North Carolina Theatre Website

Our partnership with the North Carolina Theatre continues with the recent redesign of their website. See more in our portflio.

LEDM helped plan a re-organization of the site, and wrote and edited a new site script, including new top-level marketing messages. The new site utilizes a large graphic slider on the homepage to promote upcoming performances and the Conservatory (Education). Content modules point to important content within the site, and are dynamically populated from the database. Every page in the site utilizes a random-image display script that helps to keep the site fresh and interesting, while driving home the mission and vision of the company by displaying imagery from a variety of past productions. Performance detail pages utilize a tabbed motif to display all show information and descriptions, cast pics and bios, production photos and videos.

NCT website redesign

The site was built using Expression Engine as the Content Management System. Expression Engine is our mid-tier CMS offering, and works well for midsize sites that do not require a ton of customization. Now, the staff of NCT can actually edit, delete, and create new content without having to rely on their webmaster for every required edit. Additionally, we created several levels of tiered access to the CMS, so editors can only manipulate the content they are responsible for, and not the entire website.

We love working with North Carolina Theatre! Thanks to Lisa Grele Barrie, CEO, and Kristin Buie, Communications/Company Manager (and the rest of the crew at NCT) for making the experience such a rewarding one.
